What time zone is the conference in?

During ICIS 2020, each day will rotate timing to offer convenient session times for each of the three AIS Regions. Attendees are highly encouraged to plan schedules ahead of time using the Time Zone Converter.

Please review details carefully. *

  • Region 3 will be displayed in IST – Indian Standard (Hyderabad)
  • Region 2 will be displayed in CET – Central European (Munich)
  • Region 1 will be displayed in EST – Eastern Standard (New York)

I am not a member of AIS, can I attend the conference?

A: Unfortunately no. This conference is open to current members of AIS. Prior to registering, you must join or renew your AIS membership. In order to join or renew your AIS membership, please visit the AIS Member Benefits page.

May I register to only attend the Pre-conference Workshops and/or the SIG/Ancillary meetings? - Details TBD

A: Most pre-conference workshops require full conference registration, if you will not be attending ICIS full conference choose the “workshop only” available option. Please note registrations for inapplicable workshops are subject to cancellation.

Can I pay after I attend the conference?

A: Conference registrations fees must be paid in advance.

I am participating in the Doctoral Consortium, are membership fees included in my registration?

Student Doctoral Consortium invitees who are first time AIS members are eligible to receive a complimentary one-year AIS student membership; please contact the Membership Director at to receive the promo code you will need to complete your complimentary membership registration. If you are already a current member or have been in the past and will be renewing your membership, Doctoral Consortium registration does not change your membership status and renewal will be at the prevailing rate.

Can I pay by purchase order?

A: Purchase orders are not permitted. Instead, you may complete the online registration form and select the check payment option as your form of payment and later remit payment. Please note your registration will not be processed until payment has been received prior to conference start date.

I am an Institutional Member, how do I register?

A: Contact the Membership Director at to verify your eligibility and receive the appropriate promotional discount code prior to completing your online conference registration. Apply the promo code during your online registration.

Will I need to register to participate in the virtual conference?

Yes, whether you are a presenter, panelist, session chair, conference committee member or an attendee, you will need to register to participate.

What happens once I register?

Upon submitting your registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Once the conference app is live (a couple of weeks prior to the conference date), within 24-48 hours of registering you will receive an email with app link and instructions on how to connect to the conference and the additional details.

When is the last day for conference registration?

You can register up until the day of the conference but please note the following:

  • Early Bird registration rate ends on November 16, 2020
  • Regular fee will apply starting November 17, 2020

We strongly recommend that you register at least five days prior to the conference start date to ensure proper processing, allowing time to receive the conference app link and in time to access the latest conference offerings via the app and the links to join each session.

How much do I need to pay to register for the virtual conference?

Until November 16, 2020: Early Bird Registration Fee – Academics – TBD / Doctoral Students – TBD

November 17 – December 17, 2020:  Regular Registration Fee – Academics – TBD / Doctoral Students – TBD

What is the refund policy for conference registration cancellations?

A. Request for refund or cancellation must be in writing via email (, fax or mail and are subject to the following schedule:

  • Received by November 23, 2020 – Full refund less $15 administrative fee
  • Cancellation requests received on November 24, 2020 to December 11 – Full refund less $25 administrative fee
  • Cancellation requests beginning December 12 will not be eligible to receive a refund; the registrant will be liable for the full conference

Will I have access to the recordings and materials?

Keynote and Awards sessions will be recorded and will be accessible via eLibrary.  At the start of the conference, author videos will be posted on eLibrary, as well.

Are the conference proceedings included in my registration?

A: Yes, the conference proceedings will be available via the AIS eLibrary.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

A: Wire transfers are accepted. Please contact the conference registrar ( to request the wire transfer instructions. Next complete the online registration form, be sure to select “check” as your as your method of payment. Once your wire payment is received we will post the payment to your registration record then send you an updated registration receipt to confirm.

If I have already registered, how do I add an Ancillary Meeting/Workshop to my registration?

A: To add a workshop to your full conference registration please visit the ICIS 2020 workshop area; be sure to log in with your AIS membership credentials for appropriate rates. Select the workshop you would like to add then complete your purchase.
